 Type XV layered steel

XVth century

Blade's length: 80 cm
Overall length: 96.5 cm
Weight: 1139 gr
POB: 9.7 cm from crossguard

The blade is made of 280 layers of steel, forged over its entire length which gives a very lisible reading of the damask design at the base and finer at the end.

The crossguard and pommel are forged in steel from the beginning of the 18th century and the imperfections of the metal are revealed with acid.

Two copper coins are engraved and set in the pommel.
