This sidesword is a copy of a piece from the Wallace Collection, n ° A537 visible here.
Blade with triple fuller, guard and knob fully decorated. Note that the knob here is hollow and in two parts. It is quite a challenge to forge all these elements of a Renaissance weapon, which is part of the direct evolution of armaments and martial techniques of the Middle Ages.
This sharp weapon is also used to study the writings of Achille Marozzo, famous 16th century's Italian master of arms.
