Type XV

 Early XVth century

Blade's length: 78 cm

Sharp sword type XV and obeying the codes of the famous type "Castillon".

It is inspired by a source from the book "Records of Medieval Sword" by E. Oakeshott (type XV.12).

As on the original, pieces of another metal (here copper) were engraved and then crimped on each side of the pommel, in the recess provided and decorated. The engravings of the medals and of the circumference of the pommel were handmade with chisel and hammer.
